When it comes to dressing for the summer months sunshine and floral patterns go together like strawberries and cream. However, this summer the floral trend has had a bit of an update. Although pastel shades are still on trend brighter, more daring designs are just what you need to update your summer wardrobe. There are plenty of tropical print styles to suit your style preferences available on the high street, including bralets, skorts and even joggers; perfect to wear on holiday, at a festival or spending a bit of time enjoying the sunshine during those important weekend cocktails.
This trend is not really for the boring. It is all about colour and bright prints so, if you are only interested in sticking to dark or block colours this summer, perhaps this trend is not for you. The bold patterns in this trend vary from tropical flowers and fruit like palm trees, pineapples and lemons and if you’re even more daring some beautiful and bright animal prints. Mix this trend with matching coordinates and a pair of heeled sandals or wedges or for a day time look a pair of jelly shoes or metallic gladiators. Or if matching coordinates are not quite your thing, team with a plain skirt, trousers, and denim shorts or tuck in a plain 90’s style strappy top for added style points. This trend is not just for those fearless female fashionistas, there are plenty of styles for men too, and it is rare that a trend can look good on both men and women but this tropical trend does.
